The Hotel Aigle is located in the medieval village of Entrèves, a municipal hamlet of Courmayeur, to be found at only 2,5 km (1,5 miles) upstream Courmayeur, at the very foot of the Mont Blanc, where the Valdigne (the very last leg of the Aosta Valley) ends and parts in two side valleys called Val Ferret and Val Veny.
The village of Entrèves stands where the two creeks (the Dora Ferret and the Dora Veny, coming from the valleys of the same name) merge together to form the impetuous Dora Baltea, the river that flows down the entire Valle d’Aosta valley. The present look of Entrèves dates back to the 14th Century, the Passerin d’Entrèves stronghold, probably one of the oldest if not the oldest building in the village, is mentioned in documents dating from 1351.

Near the hotel, within ten minutes walk (2 minutes by car), there are the boarding stations for the modern “SkyWay cable-car”, that takes visitors to The Pavillon (2.173 mt / 7,129 ft) / Helbronner Point (3.466 mt / 11,371 ft); and for the “Val Veny cable-car”, that takes on Mount Chetif and the ski-tracks of Plan Checrouit (connected with the ski tracks of Courmayeur, on the opposite side of the mountain)
The SkyWay, makes it possible for everyone to access/see the glacier area and enjoy one of the most spectacular views and experience of the Alps, while the most expert skiers and climbers can use it to reach the starting point for their adventures.
The Val Veny cable-car gives access to the beautiful skiing coprensory of Val Veny and Courmayeur.

The Hotel Aigle is located on the outskirts of the town, opposite Mont Blanc.
It can be reached quickly and easily from both Courmayeur, the end of the Aosta Valley motorway and from the Mont Blanc tunnel exit.
Nearby passes the municipal road from Courmayeur to Val Ferret and the bus lines to Courmayeur, Chamonix and Val Ferret stop.
